What We Do

We support African entrepreneurs with the expertise needed for sustainable business development from professionals in Diaspora thereby reducing huge transaction costs. The expertise provides support services for grant application and bid process in collaboration with professionals in Diaspora reconnecting the local partners with needed information.
Capacity building for the professionals: We conduct training for Diaspora professionals and students with leading experts in the development consulting. The training is specific to skill acquisition in grant proposal writing, tendering process, and project development with regards to understanding the various requirements essential for successful project bidding.
Mentor a young development professional: Our buddy project provide an opportunity for young professionals to be guided by experienced professionals depending on the professional’s profile.

We fetch ideas and innovations across the South and the North that can be translated into actionable plans. Our organization is set out to fetch ideas and make practical steps with appropriate linkage to the local partners and sustainable creation market at both ends. DevGRAD position is that scalable start-up initiatives models coupled with innovative policy thinking, and well-identified market is needed to improve entrepreneur access to funding routes. We support innovative ideas in this regard.

Innovation Hub: Driven largely by our regular Digital Roundtable Talks, we organize a yearly innovation hub to gather innovative ideas matched with cutting-edge technologies that can be applied to real life development scenarios. Through these activities, we engage development professionals, organization and students in Diaspora to “Post a Problem” within the context of practical development issues in our thematic areas and we seek a practical solution in the hub with funding opportunities.

At DevGRAD, we provide a platform for stakeholders in African projects to forge genuine partnerships and work collaboratively across sectors in our thematic areas for scaling up existing projects or initiate new ones. Through our extensive base of professionals across Africa including returning Diaspora, students and other local partners in the south, we support in the development of preliminary need assessment and feasibility studies with fewer resources and cost.

Our position is clear; we facilitate a partnership between the European companies, organizations, private sectors and entrepreneurs with African Diaspora and local partners beyond donor/recipient relationship.

We collaborate with our European and other Diaspora professionals on mentorship initiatives on African project development and exploring funding opportunities from development cooperation and other organizations.

Promotion of inclusive business and trade along the value chain in our thematic areas is at the core of our mission.

We provide a platform for networking opportunities, training & capacity building for African entrepreneur, students and, diaspora professionals necessary for achieving sustainable development goals in our thematic areas. Our position in DevGRAD is that the capacities to forge strategic development partnerships start with the ability to explore appropriate network channels

Meet the Ambassadors and Other African Stakeholders and Institution: We arrange regular visit to African embassies, African institutions and Development Consulting organization, and development cooperation.

Initiate A day with Development Consultant: Students can have an insight into first time consulting and tendering process. Young Professionals and students are assigned to experienced Professionals for mentorship preferably with professionals with similar technical profiles and skills.

Expert Database: Through our network, we facilitate the interaction and connection between Diaspora professionals and placed a high priority on project development, mentorship, capacity building in the area of technical assistance and project tendering process.

Knowledge and Information Platform: We communicate funding opportunities via our open call section and set up consortium within our network for project development.
